A talk on federated learning and privacy, entitled: «Federated Learning: trade-off between utility and privacy», has been scheduled on February 2 at 12.00 CET within the framework of the Athena Talks, given online by Professor Rebeca P. Díaz Redondo. The Athena Talks  are organized by the European Athena University, an alliance of 9 universities in 9 EU countries (being UVIGO one of them). The orientation of the talk is informative for students and researchers of these universities, although they are open to any public. The talk is available here.

Organization of a special session at an international research congress.

We are orgaizing the 12th ACM Workshop on Information Hiding and Multimedia Security (IH&MMSec’24). This workshop stands as a premier event in the domain of multimedia security, drawing researchers globally. Sponsored by the prestigious Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), the workshop centers around information-hiding themes such as steganography, steganalysis, digital watermarking, anonymity, hard-to-intercept communications, and covert channels. Additionally, it encompasses various multimedia security subjects, including multimedia  authentication, multimedia forensics, biometrics, and privacy. Participants present cutting-edge research conducted in academic, industrial, and government institutions worldwide. Papers cover significant theoretical aspects of the field, as well as novel industrial and commercial applications of techniques and
algorithms developed in the area.
